Speake-Marin "Hungry for Time" Watch with Yamazaki Mushu Maki-e lacquer Dial

Estate 38mm 18K white gold Speake-Marin Hungry for Time" piece unique watch. Featuring Peter's Caliber FW2012, based on a highly modified Caliber, the ETA 2824, which he uses, as it is in his words, "a tractor motor".  It has a large balance wheel and will run with timely service for many years. His design philosophy of his watches outlasting their creator, is very much evident here.

The Maki-e lacquer dial is hand-painted by world-renowned Japanese artist, Yamazaki Mushu.  The design features a dragon circling the hands about to eat the center of the dial with foundation style hands.

The case thickness is 13.5mm.
